Pricing
The Enermax Revolution XT 530W semi modular power supply comes in at $99.99 on Amazon in the USA while in the UK it can be had for £73.84 at Scan Computers and £75 on Amazon. A 5 year warranty is provided by Enermax.
Conclusion
The Enermax Revolution XT 530W does well to compete with rival power supplies on price and performance whereas typically in the past we’ve seen some Enermax power supplies command a premium that doesn’t always seem wholly justified. Similar 80 Plus Gold units like Corsair’s RM550 and XFX’s XTR 550W come in at a higher price point making the Revolution XT 530W a solid buy. The only difference is those rival PSUs feature fully modular designs instead of semi-modular. Enermax do seem unable to compete with Super Flower (and consequently EVGA who rebrand Super Flower units) on price, but I think Enermax’s position in the market is still fairly solid given how strong performance is.
As our testing has shown the Enermax Revolution XT 530W offers very good voltage regulation, efficiency and ripple suppression as well as above average PFC performance. This is topped off by the fact it has all-black cables and ridiculously quiet operation under all loads. Best of all the unit is backed by a 5 year warranty.
Pros
Cons
“With strong all-round performance, quiet operation and a vastly improved cable design the Revolution XT 530W is one of Enermax’s best power supplies yet.”
