The second out of three EVGA Z370 motherboards announced two months ago is now available. The Z70 FTW came out two weeks ago, but this time it time for EVGA Z370 Micro. This board’s design has overclockers in mind, having close DIMM slots, additional power the CPU and PCIe lanes, as well as on-board buttons. Much of the on-board headers plug-in on the edges, ideal for test-bench setups so that there are less cables on the way blocking the LN2 pots on the graphics cards or the memory and CPU.
As for other features, it supports 2-way SLI, has six SATA ports, one M.2 slot for PCIex4 NVMe drives and one M.2 slot for Wi-Fi/BT modules. The audio subsystem also uses Realtek’s latest ALC1220 HD audio codec, while network connectivity is handled by an Intel i219-V Gigabit LAN chip.
The EVGA Z370 Micro is now available for $179.99 USD directly from EVGA’s website. It is also available from other online retail stores that sells motherboards. Good luck trying to find an Intel i7-8700K processor to go along with it however. Intel is promising that supply will get better soon as they ramp up production at their Chengdu plant to aid their Costa Rican facilities.
