Facebook Adds Some New Features

Facebook, ever the one to innovate, has recently introduced some new features to their website. While certainly no significant changes, a couple of the more minor additions are certainly of note.

“Take a Break”

One of the new features includes “take a break”.

If you have ever dated someone, particularly a relationship that was very vocal on Facebook, you might prefer to not be reminded of just how well they are getting along without you.

As such, Facebook is introducing the “Take a Break” feature reported SkyNews. In this feature, you will be able to either temporarily or permanently block any trace of your ex from past and future posts on your account.

Allowing users to either make this ‘break’ permanent or temporary, it would at least allow you time for the wounds to heal without seeing your ex-partner lip wresting their next conquest while you are sat at home crying to your pot noodle.

Block Mark Zuckerberg

Despite all of the people and groups you can block, one person has remained elusive. In fairness, there is a good reason for that.

Yes, Mark Zuckerberg, as the founding member of Facebook has for years now remained completely impervious to being blocked. That is, until now!

Yes, in a report via the Independent, Mark Zuckerberg has been dragged down to the level of us mere mortals and you can officially block him now.

Now the likelihood of wanting to ban him is, in fairness, slim. I can’t think of any reports of Mark Zuckerberg trolling or spamming his members. Well, not outside the standard advertising. If you have, however, had enough of him, block away!

So while neither change is particularly game-changing, it is nice to know that Facebook does occasionally move with the times and even perhaps, has a sense of humour.
