Exterior

The Fractal Design Torrent is huge, way too big for your typical PC build. That being said, even the “compact” is still E-ATX and still pretty big. So when I saw that they have something that was actually a lot more compact, I just had to check it out! The Nano is obviously a lot smaller than the Compact and the Torrent (standard), but amazingly, it still looks pretty much the same! You still get that lovely tool-free side panel design, which is available as a solid panel, dark tempered glass, light tempered glass, and in black or white.

The white finish on this one looks epic, I like the black one too, but it’s a tough call which colour choice I would actually invest in myself.

The front panel still have that high airflow design, with the same fin layout you’ll find on the other models, just scaled down to suit the new form factor.

Behind it, you’ll see there’s a full-coverage dust filter, as well as one of their premium 180mm fans. It’s a black fan on the solid side panel version and a PRISMA fan on the RGB models.

Down the right side, you’ll find another tool-free panel. Unlike the larger models, the mini-ITX has a solid panel on the right, not glass.

Around the back, you’ll see there are three expansion slots, allowing for extra THICC graphics cards. However, keep in mind it is still mini-ITX, so only one expansion card will fit!

The PSU mounts in the top, just like the larger Torrent cases, and there are some velcro straps down the side to keep the cable out of the way.

Up on top, there’s a removable panel, allowing you to mount the PSU, and access the cable shroud and additional storage mounts.

The front I/O panel is the same as the one found on the larger models, offering up HD Audio jacks, power controls, dual USB 3 ports, and a USB C port.
