G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 32GB (16GBx2) 6800 MHz Review

Overclocking

The memory running at 6800 MHz XMP is already telling us this is overclocked high from the factory, so we weren’t expecting to get much more from it. However, as you can see, we were able to push it to 6933 and then 7000 MHz, and while that may not sound like much, there’s clearly a nice uptick in performance and even the overall latency was lower.

Peter Donnell

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
