When the original AVP launched on PC back in 1999 it was nothing spectacular, but just like the original movie it had one of the finest suspense driving sounds in movie history, the motion detector, if you’ve seen the film or played the game, it’s unforgettable.

Playing as a marine, slowly walking down a corridor and hearing that little bleep noise build up louder and louder sends a chill down my spine every time, that’s just a sound effect though, it’s more the fear of what is causing the motion detector to have a fit, might have something to do with the face that an armour plated demon of death with more teeth than you would care to count is no doubt very close to you.
