Power Consumption

Power consumption is measured at idle, during a Cinebench R23 run and during a gaming benchmark run of Cyberpunk 2077, which is a very CPU-intensive game. By getting 3 performance metrics, it allows us to see a better picture of the average user and what they are typically going to see in terms of power draw for just the processor itself.

I’m staggered by how Gigabyte is doing this, they have two of the best-performing motherboards on the market, the Elite AX I’m testing now, and the Aorus Master, yet they’re also two of the most efficient boards too. Seriously Gigabyte, whoever works in the power delivery design department, whatever that is really called, buy them a beverage of their choice the next time they’re in the office.
