GT Omega Gaming Pro Office Chair Review

Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

The range is available in a wide selection of colours as well. With prices around £160-£190, you will struggle to find a better quality chair for less. It is no exaggeration to suggest that you can spend more for chairs which have fewer options and look terrible in comparison to this one.

Overview

For a mid-entry level gaming chair, we were highly impressed with this product. While it doesn’t include some of the bells and whistles that more expensive models may, this was comfortable to use. Additionally, it was an absolute pleasure to assemble. The colour scheme as well is not overly garish and in the range available you shouldn’t struggle to find something that suits your location.

Adjustable Design

In addition to this, the chair does also have a tilt control handle which feels very substantial and hard wearing. The operation is a little stiff, but to me, this is only reassuring of a mechanism which will stand the test of time. You have a plethora of controls to allow you to get comfortable including;

  • Arm rest – Height, angle and length.
  • Height – Pistol controlled height adjustment for the overall level of the chair.
  • Adjustable chair recline angle.
  • Soft-tilt option including resistance control.

The only thing that this chair doesn’t include is an adjustable headrest level. When you take into consideration the price and what is on offer though, I can’t complain about this.

Build Quality

For a chair within the price range, the build quality is excellent. It isn’t leather, but would you really expect it to be? The stitching is nice and tight and from an overall inspection, I found no areas of concern. The majority of the covers can be removed via a zip as well, so if things do get a little grubby, a deep clean is more than possible.

The seat itself is foam which provides nice cushioning as is the backrest. The chair is initially quite firm. I would imagine that it would take around a week’s worth of usage before it was ‘broken-in’ and at optimal comfort.

Aesthetics

It’s very easy for low-cost gaming chairs to go too far with the aesthetics. Sometimes they suffer from RGB-Itus and attempt to make it as garish as possible. In this instance though, that is most definitely not the case. The overall black design with red trim looks excellent and even the logo placement looks good. The GT Omega branding is neither massive nor looks out of place.

The colour range available is fantastic. With over 10 choices available, you would have no difficulty finding your personal preference. Personally, I loved the hot pink cover design, which incidentally is available at a reduced price. The colour scheme is perhaps a bit heavy going for an office environment, for gaming, however, it would be a fantastic accompaniment to a desk set-up.

Should I Buy One?

The GT Omega range is packed full of great products and for the price, it’s easy to see why they are so popular. Rarely do you see a gaming chair within this price range that ticks all the boxes. It’s easy to build, great to look at and, above all, comfortable to sit in. Quite literally the only thing that this doesn’t have in comparison to more expensive brands is an adjustable head-rest. For what you get for the price though, this exceeds many of the more expensive models.

Based on this, we highly recommend the GT Omega Pro Office Chair. If it wasn’t for the lack of an adjustable headrest, this would be faultless and we make no exaggeration in that statement. If you are looking for a new chair or an upgrade to your existing, this is a fantastic option and perfectly priced.

  • A dream to assemble
  • Great build quality
  • Competitive price
  • Easy to assemble
  • Great aesthetics

  • Fantastic seat adjust options

Cons

  • None
