HIS Radeon HD 6870 IceQ X Turbo X Graphics Card Review

Overclocking
For overclocking, we used the usual process of overclocking with MSI Afterburner, GPU-Z and Furmark as the Catalyst Control Center limits certain speeds. Click here to find our comprehensive guide on overclocking.

As the card features a pre-overclocked GPU core and memory clock we weren’t that hopeful at squeezing out even more performance, but were quite pleasantly surprised when we were able to pump out another 80MHz on the core clock and another 115MHz memory. This gave us totals of 1055MHz and 1265MHz leaving this to be one of the highest clocked 6800 series cards we’ve ever seen and even at this higher clocks, the cooling was still ample enough to handle it and remain fairly silent.
