Acoustics
To test the noise of the chassis, we measured an ambient room noise with the system turned off. Once this was recorded, we placed our dBA sound meter half a metre away from the case and turned the system on. Once the system was booted into Windows, we measured the sound level again.
To gain a comparison between low and high fan speeds, we also set Prime 95 and Furmark into action to generate as much heat as possible from the main components of the system. By doing so, it allowed us to measure the noise level of the chassis in a higher fan speed mode.
The chart shows that even under the more extreme testing phase, the chassis stll remained bareable and typically falls around where we expected a case to be. It is also worth noting however, that this case has got more fans that most. This leaves us with results that would mimic a standard case and gives for a nice surprising set of figures.
