Performance

Setting up the keyboard is incredibly easy. For example, I used my Nvidia Shield Tablet for testing. I simply went into the Bluetooth settings, searched for devices, turned on the keyboard and one button press later, the keyboard was working. This kind of easy setup process is true of virtually any Bluetooth device, so you can expect a similar easy setup process across virtually any platform.

The keys are light and responsive, with a lot more tactile feedback to them than I would have expected given their short travel range. The keys are a little condensed compared to your typical desktop keyboard, but they’re more spacious than the on-screen keyboard you would typically find on a good size tablet. It obviously takes a little getting used to type on this, but the end results are much quicker and more accurate typing than you would get from the touch screen.

While I couldn’t see myself sitting down for a days work on this keyboard, I have found it to be perfect for those times I’m away from the office. If you only have a few emails to write, or a few short articles, you can save yourself a lot of time.

What I do like is that the F-Keys at the top are short-cut keys by default, giving you multimedia controls and more, while the F-keys are available via the FN-shift function.

I found performance to be the same no iPad Air, Shield Tablet and Windows. While the keyboard would be great for my HTPC, it lacks a built-in touch mouse control that many would desire for a HTPC controller.
