Jonsbo QT01 Quiet Mid-Tower Case Review

The Jonsbo QT-01 looks really nice, it’s very understated compared to a lot of the gaming cases I review, but it still has a good quality vibe about it too. The side panel is just a solid black, but it’s nicely finished. As you can see, there’s a good amount of ventilation down the side too, and that indirect airflow design will help greatly reduce noise levels.

There are some lovely chrome coloured feet on the bottom too, which take the muted design and just give it a little touch of class. It’s a simple effect, but it does make the case look great.

The right side panel looks just like the left, with another solid panel, and more side ventilation. The good thing about this is that it doesn’t matter which side of your desk you place it on, it’ll always look the same.

The front panel looks stunning, with a heavy-duty door that’s treated with a slice of brushed aluminium. It catches the light nicely, giving the case a sleek black on black two-tone look.

The front-facing I/O panel is nicely designed too, with dual USB 3 ports, audio jacks, and a central power button.

The front panel opens out, behind which you can see this case takes its filtering very seriously. There’s a large grille that is tightly fitted and features a built-in mesh to keep dust out of the case.

The same is true of the 5.25″ drive bays up top, all heavily filtered. Plus, holy cow, 5.25″ drive bays, you don’t see those often these days! Perfect for some hot-swap drive bays, card readers and other things you may need on a workstation.

Behind that, you’ll find the front fan mounts, with a pair of 120mm mounts giving you a few options to play around with. Of course, you can stick with those pre-installed fans too, which look to be pretty decent quality and they’re hooked up to the built-in fan controller. The fan controller is tucked into the bottom of the front panel here, a little out of the way, but it’s still nice to have.

Around the back, you’ll see there’s a 120mm fan pre-installed as the main exhaust. What I do like is that there are two routing grommets below it. I used to see these on cases all the time, and they seem to have gone out of style. However, for running liquid cooling, external lighting and more, they’re really handy, so I’m glad to see them included.
