They say first impressions are important, and the Kolink makes an impression. The unit is quite large, and it’s pretty darn heavy too, which I think is reassuring for a 1200W unit. The colours are a little garish, but overall the design looks good. The main issue I have here is “unbeatable price” being on the side, I don’t mind getting a bargain, but I wouldn’t buy a car that said “budget model” on the back, so not sure why this is here and not just on the box.
Down the other side, the main spec table, and as you can see we’ve got a single 12V rail, which can deliver a whopping 100A @ 1200W, so no issues here for those rocking a heavily overclocked multi-GPU system.
This is a fully modular PSU, so you’ll find the 24-pin, which is split into an 18 and 10 configuration, as are many PSUs these days. There are eight PCIe/CPU connectors, obviously you’ll need one or two for the CPU, but then you’ve got room for up to six GPU connectors, and still have five ports left over for peripherals.
Around the back, there’s very little space that’s not being used for ventilation, so the fan should have an easy job of shifting heat out the back.
A blank panel on the bottom, nothing fancy.
On the top, a large cooling fan fitted with a removable metal fan guard. This is a large opening, so should let in quite a lot of airflow to keep the PSU nice and cool.
A nice golf-ball finish on the fan blades looks pretty cool too, but should also help cut down on noise from the fans operation.
