HD Video Playback

We opted for some Iron Man 2 to assist us with this test, utilising the 1080p HD MKV file to check on CPU utilisation. Running the movie using VLC Player and using a predefined action scene, we check the CPU usage to see how it fairs with HD video playback.

Whilst the GPU is no good for gaming, the system is still perfectly equipped for watching HD video content through the onboard Intel graphics chipset. We do note that the CPU usage is a little higher than we would normally expect, but we have to remember that when playing a video in full screen, the processor is having to drive a 3K resolution.
