MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X Graphics Card Review

Ashes of the Singularity

The MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X upholds a higher average frame-rate than the GTX 980 and offers a good boost over the RX 480. Saying that, the difference is pretty slim and you’re unlikely to notice the extra few frames outside of monitoring software.

Here we can see the graphics card performs admirably and showcases its credentials as an excellent mid-tier product. Rather impressively, it’s got the horsepower to attain higher numbers than the R9 390 in a game which utilises asynchronous compute.

During 4K testing, the MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X cemented its position and managed to stay ahead of the GTX 980. Saying that, the RX 480 outputs a higher minimum frame-rate and remains competitive.
