MSI MAG CH110 Gaming Chair Review

Complete Chair

The MSI CH110 looks absolutely stunning once it’s complete. Plus, it’s really nicely sorted out when it comes to assembly. All the bolts are the same size, everything fit first time, and that’s something that’s a stark comparison to the more affordable gaming chairs out there.

The base looks really nice, and the finish on it diffused light a little giving it a softer look compared to the more glossy wheels. As promised by MSI, the wheels do roll very easily and they’re fairly quiet on the harder surfaces too.

All the hardware underneath is pretty standard, at least by modern standards. There’s a tension dial for the rocker at the front.

This is the gas lift lever, pretty standard again. However, it feels super loose all the time and just sort of droops down, I think they can improve this. Plus, in “free” mode you can rock the whole chair backwards, but you can’t then push it back in to lock in that tilted position, which is a shame.

I do like the back adjustment lever though, it looks like an old Handbrake from a car, albeit it’s a fair bit shorter.

The arm rests can easily be adjusted up and down with the lever on the outside edge. Plus, you can move them back and forth with the small button on the front inside edge.

They adjust up and down by quite a bit actually, which I like, and the little bit of hard-wearing padding on the armrests does help, albeit it is pretty firm overall. You can also push the armrests in or our at an angle, however, this doesn’t lock, so if you bump them they’ll move positions.

The wings on the side of the seat, well they’re actually more the seat than the wing. I’m not a wide guy, but both my legs cover nearly all the red sitting in it. That’s not a problem, it’s all pretty level and comfortable, but it’s basically a flatter seat designed to look like it has a bucket seat.

I do like the seat design though, it’s a bit random, but it’s interesting too.

Plus the mock carbon fibre look is pretty cool, although I’ll admit that’s subjective.

The bright red stitching plus the red PU leather strips are a bit bright, but again, I quite like it. This chair is clearly not trying to be subtle, and it’s going to look great in your gaming room.

But the overall colours, the fit and finish, it all really pops.

Even the MSI logos are all stitched in rather than just being some stuck on decal.

The only thing that bothers me is on the back. Have you spotted it yet?

It’s not symmetrical, argh! Still cool though.

Without the cushions, the seat is pretty deep front to back and offers decent supprt.

The cushions are pretty hardy, but they will break in a bit with extended use.

The neck cushion looks a little pointy and aggressive, but again, it’s designed to really snug around the back of your neck, when is great.

On the plus side, the colour scheme matches my desktop décor.

What do you think, is this the right colour choice for you? It clearly is for me!
