It’s almost like Nvidia tuned this card to be near identical to that of the GTX 1080, albeit just a smidge better. Again reminding you that our GTX 1080 G1 Gaming was an overclocked model, it’s definitely faster than the stock clocked Founders Editions. It’s also near identical to that of the AMD VEGA 64, which by no surprise is also priced about the same. However, only the RTX has Ray Tracing and DLSS, so that’s someting.

The performance in Rise of the Tomb Raider was fantastic, hitting almost 180 FPS at 1080p, you’ll have no issues setting that to Ultra graphics. At 4K, we managed a superb 67.91 FPS, which is again just enough to topple the GTX 1080 and Vega 64. I should also point out, yet again, that the VEGA 64 on our charts was a very expensive Sapphire overclocked model; one of the best VEGA cards on the market at that. The Armor is from what I know, a pretty standard RTX 2070.
