Test Method

Test system:

  • Supermicro C7Z97-OCE motherboard
  • Intel Xeon E3-1230Lv3
  • Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz 8GB
  • Corsair H100i
  • BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 850W
  • Kingston HyperX 240GB SSD
  • Asus PCE-AC68 Dual-Band wireless adaptor

We would like to thank our sponsors for supplying us with the equipment needed to perform these tests.

Software used:

  • PassMark PerformanceTest Suite

The Netis WF2415 is a fairly simple router and as such also simple to benchmark. I will first be testing the Ethernet capabilities with fixed and then variable packet sizes.

Once the wired speeds are collected, I’ll be switching to the wireless connection. I will then be running the same tests on the WiFi bands and at three different distances.

These test should give us a fair image of what the router is capable of performing.
