The first thing that strikes you is that the packaging for the NZXT Kraken X73 RGB is surprisingly big. I mean, I know it’s a 360mm AIO cooler, but even by those standards it’s still notably lengthy.
On the front of the box work, NZXT gives you a nice large image of the AIO cooler in action. Listing some of the key features as well, we’re off to an excellent start here.
The sides and rear list out all of the key features, specifications, dimensions, and socket compatibility for the NZXT Kraken X73 RGB. Put simply, there is nothing you could possibly need to know that isn’t told to you here. And while the information is a little small and cramped in places (with a general poor utilization of the masses of space they did have available), overall, the packaging presentation is excellent.
In terms of the accessories you are provided with, I must start with a little (albeit in my eyes, pretty substantial) grumble. Although I will go into this in more detail as part of the ‘installation’ aspect of this review, NZXT does not provide you with a product manual. You are instead given a slip of paper with a QR code to take you to the installation instructions online.
In terms of the actual parts, each are well organised in individual bags depending on your socket type and, overall, you are somewhat surprised to find that, by 360mm AIO standards, you don’t need much (seemingly) to get this fitted on your PC.
The only remaining parts are the cables required to hook the fans and particularly the RGB lighting up to your system. We will, again, go into more details surrounding this later in the review.
