NZXT N7 Z590 Motherboard Review

NZXT has been manufacturing motherboards for a little while now. Well, kind of! They originally started using ECS to make their boards but have since switched over to ASRock to help, which, so far, seems to be a solid move! Today, we will be taking a look at their latest offering, the N7 Z590. Following on from our review of their N7 B550, it will be interesting to see what advances NZXT has made with their latest offering. NZXT is still a fairly new player in motherboard manufacturing, but they are starting to get quite the following. Their armour covered boards are loved by many, but is it time to change things up a bit? Well, let’s have a look and see just what we can expect from the new N7 Z590 board from NZXT.

NZXT N7 Z590

So, the NZXT N Z590 follows the same overall aesthetic we have seen with all the NZXT motherboards. It has shielding over most of the board and comes in either white or black. Nothing much has really changed in that aspect, but NZXT is looking to capitalize on the new 11th Gen Intel CPUs, and who are we to stop them? The Z590 platform offers some advances over previous generations with new features such as PCIe Gen4 and things like WiFi 6e. Now, these are platform-specific and not just something NZXT has done, but it will be interesting to see how NZXT has made them work. At the moment, NZXT only releases one motherboard per series, and it is generally a bit later to the show than the rest of the motherboard manufacturers. Fresh on the heels of their B550 board, let’s see just how well the new N7 Z590 stacks up!

As far as accessories and manuals go, NZXT has cut these right down. We have a single manual, a pair of M.2 screws, the WiFi antennas and a few SATA cables to get us going! Now, some people may think this isn’t much, but I prefer it like this. The way I see it, less stuff in the box should mean I am paying less for the product I actually want, hopefully.
