Sapphire Edge HD2 Mini PC Review

PCMark Vantage

PCMark Vantage 1.0.2 build 1901 is a Diagnostic Software product from futuremark.com, get 5 Stars SoftSea Rating, PCMark Vantage is a PC benchmark suite designed for Windows Vista offering one-click simplicity for casual users and detailed, professional grade testing for industry, press and enthusiasts.

A PCMark score is a measure of your computer performance across a variety of common tasks such as viewing and editing photos, video, music and other media, gaming, communications, productivity and security.

From desktops and laptops to workstations and gaming rigs, by comparing your PCMark Vantage score with other similar systems you can find the hardware and program bottlenecks that stop you getting more from your PC.

PCMark Vantage measures the performance of the latest PC hardware across a variety of common scenarios. PCMark Vantage supports both system level and component level benchmarking and comprises several different test suites.

PCMark Vantage is a more accurate way of determining how powerful a machine is on a broader spectrum as it breaks it down into individual segments which shows that for music and hard drive tests, PCMark Vantage was strong, but in terms of TV and Movies, it lacks and we also found this out when we tried to play HD content of which the Edge HD2 really couldn’t cope with well.

PCMark 7

PCMark 7 provides a set of 7 suites for measuring different aspects of PC performance with a high degree of accuracy. Overall system performance is measured by the PCMark Suite. The Lightweight Suite measures the capabilities of entry level systems and mobility platforms unable to run the full PCMark suite. Common use performance is measured by the Entertainment, Creativity and Productivity scenario suites. Component performance is measured by the Computation and Storage hardware suites. The Storage suite is ideal for testing SSDs and external hard drives in addition to the system drive.

PCMark 7 gave similar results but being a slightly updated piece of software, it’s aimed at more current components and is a bit more intense, and that’s why the score was pretty average.
