Sapphire RX 7700 XT Pure 12GB Graphics Card Review

The newest RX 7700 XT is here from AMD with a $449 price tag and aimed at 1440p gaming as a somewhat bold move to take on NVIDIA in the mid-tier gaming section, not that NVIDIA really has anything to cater for in that area as the 4060 Ti, especially the 16GB has been a bit of a flop and the RTX 4070 has been shown to be a little too expensive.

So in a roundabout way, AMD have firmly set their sights on themselves with a successor to the RX 6700 and 6700 XT and with more gamers than even adopting 1440p resolution gaming, this could be a huge move that allows team red to take huge amounts of market share and if you want to find out exactly how the RX 7700 XT does in a whole suite of games, then I’d definitely invite you to check out our main review over here where we go through rasterisation, Ray Tracing, Upscaling, cost per frame and much more, while this review will be more focussed on one particular model and it’s a new one to market as well in the way of the Sapphire RX 7700 XT Pure.

RX 7700 XT Pure

Now historically, we’ve had the Sapphire Pulse models to hit the MSRP mainstream market, as well as the Nitro+ series for those wanting the very best along with Toxic models for the more exotic GPUs that can simply offer up something unrivalled by the competition, though we are starting to see them less and less.

It was only a few weeks ago when Sapphire called me up and asked me what I’d think about a white GPU that is clean, crisp and to the point and I honestly was excited at the prospect of a new model and then it arrived.

From a first glance, I thought it looked amazing, and with white GPUs sought after more than ever, while it’s a bold one, it should be one that pays off in dividends because being innovative when it comes to a new graphics card is a hard thing to do, but before we’ve even tested it, I’m confident that if anyone can pull it off, then Sapphire can.

So that’s where our focus will be today, on the Sapphire Pure card with its unique styling, while still bringing us the things that Sapphire are famous for. Great build quality, amazing cooling performance and all for a very reasonable price.
