Installation

As this is a large air cooler, anyone with experience of these will know that they can sometimes be an absolute swine to install. Fortunately, Scythe has made a number of smart decisions with the Ninja 5. Firstly all the parts are well organised. Secondly, the product’s manual is surprisingly good in terms of information and diagrams.

With the handy inclusion of a screwdriver, the installation process is actually remarkably straightforward. From unboxing to fitted, the process took me no longer than 10-15 minutes which, as above, for large high-performance air coolers, is not bad at all. Particularly given how they can occasionally be more than a little cumbersome.

The only mild downside to the installation is that this is another one of those products which are reliant on you have the manufacturers supplied AMD mounting plate. As such, while Intel users will have no problems, AMD owners should ensure they have this either purchased with the cooler (assuming you’ve lost or can’t find yours) or on standby for the installation.

Once fitted though, this again looks fantastic!
