This is a huge case, at 5U form factor it is pretty much a mid-tower but with a height or thickness more in line with a big full-tower. It’s a stunning-looking thing though, with a heavily ventilated front panel that has a very smart but somewhat industrial look about it.
Dimensions
Actually the front is the only intake on the case, as the top panel is blank.
The side is fairly blank too, albeit some lumps and bumps from various fittings holding brackets on the interior.
The same on this side, just a few mounting holes and screws.
Around the back, it’s that old-school cool of unpainted metal. I mean, if nobody can see it, what does it matter, and honestly, I like a bit of the shiny stuff on my cases from time to time.
Skipping ahead as this is actually a photo of the complete system, but it’s also when I put these kick-ass handles on. They each fit on with four thick screws and will make sliding it into and out of a rack much easier. I don’t have a server rack here, but if I did… Oh and you can buy sliding rails separately should you need them too.
The front panel also has a handle, it’s pretty secure though and requires a pretty firm tug to open it up.
The front panel houses these two utterly magnificent 180mm Air Penetrator fans. Only two fans, but trust me, they’re all you’ll ever need.
