A Closer LookAs soon as you take the product out of the packaging you can see that the cable is further packaged up. It certainly doesn’t look tidy.

Next we will take a look at the connectivity options that this headset offers. Steelseries have gone back to basics with this model and have opted to just use the two 3.5mm jacks instead of using a USB connection like various other versions of their headsets.

However these are not the only jacks, as Steelseries have effectively put in an extension cable, allowing you to shorten the cable if for instance you are plugging the headset into the front of your case or more usefully into their Siberia USB soundcard which is liable to sit on your desk.

Moving further up the cable we find the ‘in-line remote’. Which for once gives options to adjust the microphone levels, if only between High, Low and off. There is also a ‘volume regulator’.

One of the key features is that this headset can be disassembled which makes photographing them a little easier. These are over the ear cups and have quite a cool look.

The other ear cup has a bit more too it. At the bottom of the pictue is both the cable for the headset and the retractable microphone, which is certainly retracted in this picture.

Once the microphone has been pulled out, you can see that it gives great flexibility and is of a sensible length.

Moving to the headband, which does look a bit weird on its own, we can see that it is fairly well cushioned. Both ear cups just slide and lock into place at either end. Very simple but very practical.

From the other side it is a fairly typical view with any Steelseries headset.

The cushioning of the inside of the ear cups looks to be proficient. A nice little touch is the EA logo inside as of course Medal of Honor is an EA game.

After rebuilding the headset we hope it still looks the same.
