If you’re a regular reader of eTeknix, this may all feel just a little bit familiar. Why it’s our old friend the Dark Z from just a few months ago. Of course, the big change here is that little Alpha badge in the bottom right corner. Other than that, the memory looks virtually identical.
Of course, it’s DDR4 memory, so expecting a completely new and innovative design is just stupid. The memory has to keep that form factor, and we know that heat spreader design to be decent, so why change it. I like the black on black design of the PCB and aluminium though, it’s very smart looking.
There’s a mirror shine from the T-Force logo on each side, but it’s pretty subtle overall. As I said before, there’s no RGB here at all, it’s just smart and clear looking memory all over.
There’s a little more branding in the bottom corner.
Plus the T-Force logo on the spine. Of course, it’s likely this one is the only part you’ll really see.
Overall, it looks great, the heat spreader has good airflow, and that’s about it really.
