Tesoro Gandiva H1L Laser Gaming Mouse Review

Introduction

Tesoro may not be the biggest name in the gaming peripherals market, but their past efforts have proven to us time and time again that they’re quickly working their way up the popularity ladder. They’ve already made some of the best looking and performing gaming products on the market; with the added bonus of offering some truly unique aesthetics that sets them apart from the rest of the market.

Today I’m very happy to have their latest laser gaming mouse, the Gandiva H1L, which promises ultra high-end performance, stunning aesthetics and a whole lot more. Will it keep up with the high standards set by previous Tesoro products? I certainly hope so.

Tesoro love to put a little more thought into their product names than most and the Gandiva is no exception; just take a look at the official product description below to get an idea of what I mean. It’s clear that Tesoro see their gaming peripherals on the same level as mythical weapons of great power.

“Gandiva, the bow of Arjuna, the great warrior of Mahabharat war, was also one of the rarest bows of its time. The bow was decorated with hundreds of gold bosses, and had radiant ends. Arjuna used it in Kurukshetra war and he was invincible. It is said that beside Lord Krishna no one except Arjuna could wield the bow in the mortal world. The bow, when twanged made the sound of thunder.”

The Gandiva comes equipped with full colour customisable lighting, multiple profiles, macros, a customisable laser sensor, built-in memory, a weight tuning system and a whole lot more.

  • 8200 DPI Gaming Laser Sensor with high-speed motion detection and acceleration
  • 8 independent programmable buttons
  • Adjustable 5 levels dpi control. 800/1800(Default)/4000/6400/8200
  • Adjustable polling rate control from user AP up to 1000Hz ultra-polling rate
  • Adjustable liftoff distance tracking technology
  • User friendly UI for easy setup
  • 5 programmable mapping sets, with full color LED indication
  • 40 macro keys, up to 1600 actions recordable
  • 128Kb onboard memory
  • Human ergonomic design with tuning weight-in system
  • Adjustable full color LED control
  • PP. braided cable with gold-plated USB connector
  • Compatible with Windows® XP/Vista/7/8

The packaging is really nicely designed, with a bright and colourful box and a stylish image of the mouse on the front.

Around the back we have a multi language breakdown of the main features and specifications.

The front panel of the box folds out to give us a sneaky look at the mouse design and there are details about the lighting and software features on the inside of the cover.

In the box you’ll find the mouse, a quick start guide, a CD-ROM with the software (newer versions available to download from the website), and you’ll also find an extra set of Teflon slipmats for the underside of the mouse; everything you need to get you started.
