The Battle of The Netbooks: Intel vs AMD

Well it is certainly difficult to say that AMD is winning in the netbook market. It certainly should be but due to AMD being AMD they struggle to make as many netbook processors as they should which ultimately leaves them losing out to Intel because the Atom is in plentiful supply. Having looked at the units as wholes we definitely think AMD is the way to go in the netbook market unless you are totally power conscious and only in this case would we say Intel.

Whilst looking at the netbook market in general things certainly look bright for AMD with Direct X 11 ready and dual core APUs in just 9-18W thermal envelopes. On the other hand Intel are really struggling with only Direct X 9 capable Atoms that lack enough gains in the CPU department to make up for their shortcomings in the GPU area and warrant a higher price tag.

AMD vs Intel…AMD this time.

The future is fusion, for the netbook market anyway...
