Thermaltake Core P6 Turquoise Edition Case Review

Love them or hate them, it’s hard to deny that Thermaltake likes to do things a little bit differently to most of the big case makers. For starters, Thermaltake has a reputation for creating some of the largest and certainly the heaviest consumer PC cases on the market. My back is sorry to say that’s still true with today’s hefty case review, the Core P6. Now, the Core P6 is not really anything new for Thermaltake, but this version is turquoise, and frankly, that’s not something we get to say very often in the eTeknix office, so we just had to check it out!

This case really is unlike a lot of others though, partly because of its size and colour. However, it also has a dual design, where it can be used as a more traditional case with a window on the front, top and left side. Or it can be used in a more open-air design as a test-bench style case. Furthermore, if you’re got a wall strong enough to handle it, you can even wall-mount this absolute unit of a case. Plus, it’s high time we got more colour in the PC components market, I love RGB, but there’s always room for a slick paint job too! As if often the case with Thermaltake, it’s extremely modder friendly too, with a basic tool kit capable of stripping the case down to its component parts, allowing for easy customisation for the enthusiasts out there.

What Thermaltake Had to Say

“The Core P6 TG Turquoise Mid Tower Case is a special color edition to the Core P6 TG and is a smaller version of the Core P8 TG Full Tower Case. Just like the Core P8 TG, the Core P6 TG Turquoise can be transformed into a closed or open styled form effortlessly and is the newest member of the Thermaltake iconic open-frame Core Series. The Core P6 TG Turquoise features a fully modular design, Rotational PCI-E Slots, a PSU cover, an extra GPU bracket, support for 120mm and 140mm fans, support for 360mm and 280mm radiators, and removable filters. With all the significant features, the potential for the hardware expansion and cooling solution is remarkable for the Core P6 TG Turquoise. Users will enjoy the process of building in the Core P6 TG Turquoise Mid Tower Case and find it truly unique and innovative.” – Thermaltake
