Based on our testing of the fan speed, it seems that the Thermaltake Smart BX1 RGB 550W may run based off 2 set fan speeds. At 20-60% load, the speeds were almost entirely consistent at circa 450 RPM. When pushed a little harder, however, these speeds seemed to slowly speed up to around 800RPM.
Any way you look at it, however, these speeds are not overly fast. In fact, under general usage, you’d probably never notice your power supply running at all. This is, no doubt, a factor that is emphasised heavily by that excellent and airy internal design.
