Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 750w Power Supply Review

The exterior packaging carries the black and silver coloring which (at least in our offices) is becoming well associated with the Thermaltake Toughpower brand.
The front of the packaging tells you, nice and clearly, what all the key features of this power supply are including a nice bold image of the PSU itself.
The rear of the packaging gets into the more technical aspects of the design which, in truth, is amongst some of the best we’ve seen. You are literally told everything you want to know about this power supply with clear writing and some nice visual aids.
As this is a power supply, you shouldn’t be expecting to get a bag full of bolts and parts and (as you might expect) Thermaltake doesn’t bog you down with unnecessary junk. You are provided with screws (to attach it to your case), a few zip ties (for cable management) and a product manual with separate warranty information.
In regards to the cables, these are kept within a high-quality bag with Thermaltake branding which is both a nice and excellent place to keep the cables you don’t need. Well, at least not right now. Even the power supply itself is wrapped in a nice branded canvas covering.
While it’s tempting to lob what you don’t need in the bin, remember to keep all of this in a safe place. With a 10-year warranty in place on the power supply, these could become more than a little useful if a fault does develop with your power supply. Given the excellent build-quality we have seen from Thermaltake, however, that’s more than a little unlikely.
