As we noted earlier in this review, unfortunately, we were unable to gain access to the interior of the power supply without risking damage to the casing or the internal components. As such, on this (exceptionally rare) occasion, were unable to conduct our fan test speed.
Despite this, we can report that under all load levels the fan noise level was very quiet. Even at 100%, the fan wasn’t notable over the other system components. As such, if noise is a factor in your system, the Thermaltake Toughpower GX1 is a solid candidate as a quiet runner.
