Thermaltake V250 TG ARGB PC Case Review

Exterior

The Thermaltake V250 TG ARGB is a pretty straightforward looking mid-tower, and that’s no bad thing. It’s not too big, so it’ll comfortably fit on, under or next to most small desks easily enough. You get a large tempered glass window on the left side too, so you can easily show off your hardware.

Moving towards the front, there’s another big chunk of tempered glass, which will allow you to see those lovely RGB fans situated behind it.

There’s plenty of air gapping around the glass to allow for airflow to the fans too. Meanwhile, branding is kept to an absolute minimum, with just a small Thermaltake logo along the bottom there.

Up on the top, you’ll find a massive magnetic dust filter, as well as the main I/O panel.

It’s business as usual here, with all the basic power controls and audio jacks. You also get two USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports.

Obviously, the dust cover is quickly and easily removed, allowing you a quick way to clean it out when needed.

There’s a great range of additional mounts here, with spacing for multiple 120mm and 140mm fittings. You can also mount 120mm closer or further from the motherboard if desired. However, even without additional cooling here, you get a lot of passive heat exhaust.

The right side panel is just a black metal panel held in place by two thumbscrews.

At the rear of the case, you’ll find it’s business as usual for an ATX case.

You get a height adjustable 120mm mount, and there’s a 120mm fan pre-installed as exhaust.

There are seven expansion slots here, all reusable. Albeit, someone got to this case before me and I’ve yet to find the other two. They’ll turn up!

OF course, you also get an ATX PSU mount at the bottom too.

Finally, on the bottom of the case, you’ll find four feet giving good ground clearance and they’ve got firm rubber grips too. There’s also a basic dust filter for the PSU air intake.
