Thrustmaster GPX LightBack Xbox 360 Controller Review

Today I am taking a look at the GPX LightBack controller from Thrustmaster, an official licensed controller for the Xbox 360. I’m not just looking at one today though, as Thrustmaster were kind enough to send up a pair of these controllers, one in a standard black finish and one fitted out with their official Ferrari licensed colour scheme.

Thrustmaster have been catching my attention more and more this year, they seem to be hitting the gaming market harder than ever with constant new ranges of controllers that cater for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, this one is no exception thanks to its support on both Xbox 360 and PC. It’s not the first time they have used their Ferrari licence either with a stunning range of controllers such as their T500 RS racing wheel and F1 attachment and a competent range of analogue controllers.

This is their newest product at the moment, but rather than put out just another stock controller, they have put a few little extra touches to this one that we will take a look at shortly. The budget controller market isn’t exactly short on options at the moment, with many manufacturers turning out some decent alternatives to the official controllers, so it will be interesting to see how this one compares. Just to clarify that by budget controller I am defining any controller that costs less than an official Xbox 360 controller.

So come and take a look at the next few pages where we will find out if Thrustmaster have put their 13 years of peripheral manufacturing experience to good use in the GPX LightBack.
