Here at eTeknix we really take our PSU reviews seriously, and rather than just testing the cables with a multimeter we have invested a lot of money to provide you with the information that matters. The tests that we run will accurately tell you the efficiency, voltage stability, power factor and ripple at different loads as well as how well it runs in our very own hotbox which is kept at around 40oC to simulate it being inside a (very hot) chassis.
As much as I would like to run you through my vast array of equipment now, please read our article that will talk in depth about the equipment we use. However, the setup is based around the SM-268 Load Tester from Sunmoon ATE, a GW Instek GPM-8212 Power Meter and a Stingray DS1M12 USB Oscilloscope.
