In this test we subject the unit to various loads and measure how it effects the rail stability. In theory, a power supplies output waveform should be flat, but this is never the case. What you see is a very zoomed in view that tells us how stable the rails are by looking at how much ‘ripple’ there is. For more information, please take a look at our PSU Testing Methodology article where you can also see an example of what a poor quality unit looks like on our oscilloscope.

I was literally gob-smacked by these results! I have never seen such small amounts of ripple from any PSU I have tested from Corsair, NZXT or Enermax- let alone a 1200W unit! To achieve a peak to peak voltage of under 20mV at 100% load is a real feat that I’m sure Antec is really proud of, performance this good can only be obtained through the very best build quality and design. This is where the £250 this unit is worth has been spent, not on a flashy box, not on a snazzy design, but on pure quality. With the quality of this unit, you could trust it with just about everything from a £10K monster rig to a life-support machine; this thing won’t let you down!
