Apacer NOX 32GB DDR4 Memory Kit Review

How Much Does it Cost?

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, we couldn’t see any stock at our preferred retailers. Please check with your local stores to get up to date pricing information. That being said, we expect the price to be not much different to any other RGB DDR4 kit, as the market is currently seeing some healthy competition and pricing.

Overview

There’s not really a lot to say on this memory kit, as it delivered performance that was exactly what we expected. Sure, we didn’t want any nasty surprises, and we do like to be amazed from time to time too. Although, working as expected is fair praise for any product, so Apacer can breath easily there.

Build Quality

As with any memory kit these days, the quality is pretty fantastic. All premium kits are carefully selected and tested before they ship these days, and the Nox is no exception. Plus, with the addition of a black PCB and their minimalist black aluminium heatsink, they not only look stylish, but are very robust and well cooled.

RGB

Of course, it’s a big focus on this kit. However, I must stress that the NOX was built to perform well first, to be well cooled with the big heatsinks, then came the lighting. That shows in the performance too, I don’t think they’ve compromised in any regard. The lighting does look fantastic though, and I love the oversized lightbars and vivid colours.

Performance

Not the fastest, but certainly now the slowest 3200 MHz kit we’ve ever seen. It’s above average though, and that’s a fine place to be. Plus, out of the box, it was able to hit 3800 MHz with ease on our Z390/i9-9900K bench. I’m sure with a good kit, with patience, you may even hit 4000 MHz on this, but there’s never any guarantee of that, of course. If you can find this kit in stock at a good price, it’s more than worthy of your attention. Well made, great performance, and it looks fantastic too.
