A Closer Look

Out of the box you have the main AIO design which, as you might expect, has a 240mm radiator and pump head. At a glance, it all has a dark black design.

When you look at the details, however, you start to see some of the more interest aspects of the design. Let’s take a closer look!

Radiator

The radiator is designed for 2 x 120mm fans to be installed, hence making it a 240 AIO liquid cooler. In terms of aesthetics, there’s not much to talk about here. It’s black, has no branding and looks fairly standard to most radiators.

Pump Block

The pump block is undoubtedly where things start to get interesting. As seen in many DeepCool designs, it carries a circular shape with the DeepCool logo to the top.

As you might have guessed, the ‘silver’ areas are where some of the RGB magic happens on this cooler.

Contact Plate

The contact plate has a nice large square design which should provide some excellent coverage for the vast majority of processors be it Intel or AMD. It should, of course, be noted that this AIO cooler is neither suitable nor compatible with HEDT processor designs such as the AMD TR4 Threadripper.

Fans

As the DeepCool Gammax is a 240 design, you are provided with two 120mm fans. Sorry if that sounded a little obvious. Both of these are DeepCool designs and ones in which we have seen on prior AIO coolers released by them.

Aesthetically (with the lights off) there isn’t much particularly remarkable about them with the exception of the ‘rippled’ effect to the fan blades. This will, presumably, play no small part in the RGB effects when the light show starts!

Overall

When assembled, the DeepCool Gammax L240 V2 has a nice solid appearance that only promises to get better when it’s fitted to a system with the RGB effects turned on.

RGB Effects

The DeepCool Gammaxx L240 VR is compatible with motherboard RGB sync systems and, as such, you shouldn’t struggle to get the best (or most preferable) colour scheme out of this.

The RGB effects themselves are nice, bright and vivid while also not being amazingly intrusive either. These compliment other RGB set-ups rather than dominate and that’s always a positive feature.

You can, of course, turn off the lights if you wish. When they look as good as this, however, we can’t imagine why you would want to!
