Sapphire AMD RX 470 Crossfire Graphics Card Review

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Rejoice! Finally, a DirectX 12 game which allows the Crossfire setup to flourish. During the benchmark, the graphics cards surged ahead of other AMD products and almost defeated a highly-regarded GTX 980Ti. Sadly, the minimum frame-rate is very low and it’s quite common to notice major hitching.

Once the resolution is increased to 1440p, the Crossfire setup maintained a strong position but the frame-drops are now absolutely ginormous.

Here we can see the RX 470 Crossfire remains ahead of the GTX Titan X but it’s just not playable due to the horrendous frame drops.
