The decision comes amid a challenging period for Intel. The company recently announced layoffs affecting around 15,000 employees as part of a broader effort to cut costs by $10 billion by mid-2025. These cost-cutting measures are part of Intel’s strategy to realign its resources in light of weaker-than-expected financial performance in the second half of 2024.
