A 20th Century childhood favourite since its release in the Sixties, stereoscope toy the View-Master could be set for a modern-day revival by Google and original creator Mattel, if a new teaser (below) is to be believed.
Google and Mattel are hosting a special event during the New York Toy Fair next week, promising an “exclusive announcement and product debut”. Mattel did attempt to resurrect the View-Master through its Fisher-Price brand back in 2012, called the View-Master Digital, but it was so unsuccessful that the product and its website have since been purged.
