New Version of the Millennium Falcon Drone is Better than Ever

If you’re not familiar with the work of Oliver C., I’ll tell you that he’s an avid Star Wars fan and quite the tinkerer, especially when it comes to making drones. One of his most impressive creations is a drone that takes on the unique looks of the famed Millennium Falcon starship, which was piloted by smuggler Han Solo and his wookie first mate Chewbacca. The starship appeared in the original Star Wars from 1977 and in the Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983) films. It was also spotted briefly in the 2005 production Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

The Falcon drone was recently taken out for a test flight, and luckily for us, Oliver filmed the entire process. This drone is bigger when compared to its predecessor, as it measures 980 x 730 x 235mm. It tips the scales at 1635 grams and boasts a flight time of 8 minutes on battery power. I just love the purple LED lights at the back that resemble the engine. Oliver also created a replica of a TIE Interceptor, which is also based on a custom-made quadcopter. You can admire both of these Star Wars-inspired drones by watching the videos below.

What do you think about Oliver’s work so far?
